Shift Your Shopping (White Mountain Independent Stores)

On November 1st, the ninth annual Shift Your Shopping holiday campaign will launch for the 2019 season, encouraging individuals and businesses to “shift” more of their holiday shopping, entertaining and dining to locally owned and independent businesses. The White Mountain Independents, along with twenty-six other businesses, organizations and networks in towns and cities throughout New Hampshire, kicked off this collaborative campaign last week. The campaign continues through December.

Shift Your Shopping’s mission is to “build a tradition that strengthens local economies, expands local employment, nurtures a sense of community and provides a more relaxed, fun and rewarding holiday shopping experience.” As part of the Shift Your Shopping festivities, throughout Thanksgiving Weekend, November 29 through December 1st, the White Mountain Independents will once again be celebrating Plaid Friday and Small Business Saturday and, new this year, shoppers can play along with the Shop Small and Win Big Game, which lasts all weekend into Monday. Everything is easy – simply follow the blue flags!

SHOP SMALL WIN BIG – Throughout Thanksgiving Weekend, November 28-December 1st, the White Mountain Independents will once again be celebrating Small Business Saturday and, again this year, shoppers can play along with the Shop Small and Win Big Game, which lasts all weekend into Monday. Everything is easy – simply follow the blue flags! Shop Small and Win Big is a new game designed to help shoppers shift their shopping to local, independent choices. It’s fun and easy and can be played all weekend with the chance to win big – one winner will win a grand prize gift basket worth $500!
